Are you a racist?
3-4 years ago I saw a local bus ad that said:
“Are you a racist?”
I was dumbfounded.
Sure, racism always exists on some small level, but enough to make it a big deal? I didn’t think so.
But that’s how predictive programming works. In order to create racial tension, we need to set the narrative that it’s a bigger issue than it really is.
I want to be very clear though, I’m not minimizing anyone’s trauma caused by true racism. It does exist.
But what have we seen happen in the last 3 years?
A huge increase in racism.
We’ve seen the BLM movement explode, causing riots, and demanding white people bow to black people’s presence.
I’ve seen white people talking about black people like they’re just a bunch of animals who don’t behave properly.
And really strangely, I’ve seen people claiming to be Christians talking about how ALL Jewish people are greedy people who love to control the world.
Essentially, we take what is the minority who are acting racist and blow them up into being the majority. We’re giving them the stage showing the world how racist the other race is, presenting ourselves as being better than them.
This is the same exact narrative that Hitler used to rile up Germany and murder millions of Jews.
He painted the Germans as being victims and worked their anger enough that they would do horrible things they normally would not. He demoralized the nation into being racist.
You see, being racist is not the root cause of the problem. It’s simply a symptom of something much larger. But the people who control the narrative don’t want you to see that. They want you to believe that’s the problem of the entire system, it’s racist.
The reality is, racism is a symptom of being sinful.
Racism, like sexism, or any other discrimination is caused by one of the sins God hates the most.
Pride.
Don’t get me wrong. It’s not that you shouldn’t be proud of your accomplishments. But even then, you’ll see that the Bible teaches to thank God for your accomplishments because without Him you can do nothing. This stops pride from going too far, it gives it a ceiling.
But being proud of your skin color or heritage by simply doing nothing but being born, is the type of pride that causes racism.
Being proud because you see someone of a different race doing something you wouldn’t because you’re a different race, is racism.
If you find yourself thinking, talking, posting things of a different race and making comments that demean a race as a whole, I want to be very clear, YOU ARE THE PROBLEM.
That is because you fell for the lie. That race is the problem. The Bible tells us that sin is the problem. It’s the root of all our problems. But you can’t see that because it conflicts with your emotional opinion that says “that group is the problem”.
Racism is currently on the rise because the people who control the narrative said so. Divide and conquer the people with their sins.
Talk to any GOOD doctor, mechanic, or health provider and they will tell you, treating the symptom is only a part of the problem. In order to truly get rid of the symptoms, we must get to the root of the problem and fix it.
And that means looking deep inside at our own sin and asking, am I the problem?
Once you recognize that you’re a contributor to the problem because of sin, the good news is that Jesus Christ paid the ultimate price for all of our sins. There is forgiveness and grace given beyond what any human can offer.
No, this isn’t denouncing who you are like the “white privilege” they push. That’s just another symptom. It’s knowing that we’re sinful by nature, which causes such things as racism. It’s then being bold and strong enough to admit you struggle and wrestle with such sins and give them up to God. To go on a path of learning and following Jesus Christ, who heals all.
Jesus Christ is all-inclusive, all are invited. But on the same hand, He’s very exclusive in that while He accepts and loves you how you are, He wants to transform you into something far different and better than who you are today. He wants you to repent and walk away from those sins that cause symptoms like racism. He wants you to walk away from the ways of the world, and make Him Lord of your life.

Beyond belief
There is no such thing as color when you ask a dog. The land is where you go to die, when you ask a fish. And yet we know both are not true because we have a greater understanding of things than dogs and fish. Are we so ignorant to not believe that things exist beyond...
