Christianity is supposed to be offensive
Christianity is supposed to be offensive. That’s why Jesus was murdered, He offended the religious system and the Roman empire.
The reason why the Devil has gained so much ground is that Christians went from offence to defence.
Jesus was strategic, timely, and patient while never backing down on who He was or what He taught.
Over the years Christians have been distracted by shiny objects, forgetting the need to strategize.
We’ve stopped thinking long-term and instead worry about the next sports game or what’s happening next week on our favourite TV show.
We compromise with others and ourselves.
In other words, the Devil has us right where he wants us. We’re covered in so much sin we don’t feel like we can win. Who are we to fight for what is right or moral? Most of us who take His name rarely spend time with Him in the bible or prayer.
That’s the very reason why Jesus died. To clean the slate. To redeem us in front of the Father.
We never need to worry about who we were yesterday. Jesus hit the reset button so that we may start over fresh, and be born again.
We can see this in the transformation of Saul into Paul. A murderer of Christians, transformed into one of strongest warriors of God.
Every Christian dreams of a revival. A renewing of the Holy Spirit in the masses. The problem is that very few open the playbook for one called the bible.
Instead, we read more books about what people think a Christian should look like today instead of what the bible says.
If we did, I have no doubt we would see a revival as the holy spirit works within us.
We’re in the middle of a spiritual war, and most of us are not even close to being prepared for battle.
If you don’t know where to start, I’d recommend 2 chronicles 20. It’s a short read and you’ll get a step by step instructions on what preparing for and going into battle looks like.
Vulnerable moment. I've been feeling a little lost as of late. A little overwhelmed. Feeling like I don't have control of certain circumstances I want to. I feel like my life has been going down one path and there is a call coming from behind me saying "Stop! You've...
A stern warning to the rich oppressors
A stern warning to the wealthy that are corrupt and take advantage of those poorer than them. Your time will come. Not at the hands of those you oppress, but God himself will not resist his judgement upon you. James was rather serious, firm, and to the point...
Beyond belief
There is no such thing as color when you ask a dog. The land is where you go to die, when you ask a fish. And yet we know both are not true because we have a greater understanding of things than dogs and fish. Are we so ignorant to not believe that things exist beyond...
