History doesn’t repeat, it rhymes

“History doesn’t repeat, it rhymes.”
First time I heard this, and it makes complete sense.
A rhyme repeats a pattern from the previous sentence, while the context stays the same, the content is different.
Different words are used, but the rhythm of the words stays the same. and throughout the poem, the story is told.
And there is a beginning and an end. It’s working its way to a conclusion.
“That which has been is what will be, That which is done is what will be done, And there is nothing new under the sun. ”
Ecclesiastes 1:9
History does not repeat itself identically; the exact same scenarios do not keep repeating. However, the formula, the process in which history takes place, the patterns of the labor pains keep coming, but stronger, last longer, and are shorter in between.
Our time here is limited. It has a beginning and an end. And through all of our recorded history, we see a poem unfolding. We see the foreshadowing of time rhyming in patterns.
This is why the “Never Forget” is not how we go about this.
The Never Forget says “Remember Hitler. Remember Osama, Remember Pearl Harbor, Remember…etc”
And we never remember the rhythm, the pattern, the rhyme. We don’t follow the birth pains that lead us to the final act when all Glory is shown in the birth of something new.
And before that new thing happens, there is a lot of pain and suffering to be had.
