The Devil is in the details

“The Devil is in the details” is not just a cute saying. It’s literally how the devil works.
And yet, so many people dismiss the details.
We agree to terms and services that take an hour to read and still not fully comprehend in mere seconds.
We spend about a minute signing contracts that have implications that can last a lifetime.
We buy products and services that are associated with human slavery, child trafficking, sexual exploitation, and other evil things, but we wave them off because we don’t know all of the details.
We watch movies, tv shows, and other media because it entertains us, it removes us from the details of life we want to escape. We’re unaware of the detailed narrative the media puts into our heads.
Celebrities sell their souls to the devil for fortune and fame. I know, some think this sounds crazy, but when you see what’s in their lifelong contracts, you understand how true that statement is.
The world has taken a huge shift in the last few years because people don’t pay attention to the details. People don’t question the government’s objectives because the details are too daunting.
The Devil is literally in the details, and by not paying attention to the details, we’ve allowed the Devil to gain a strong hold over our own lives, and the lives of those around us. We’ve allowed for horrible things to happen in this world, simply because the details are too much for us to handle.
However, as much as the Devil is in the details, so is God. The difference is that the devil hides in the details with or without your knowledge. God waits patiently for you to bring Him with you into all of the details of your life. Not as an authority to see that that you do, but to be a wonderful counsellor. To help point out the details so that you can correct your path and avoid what the Devil wants of you.
The Devil is in the details, it’s time we start looking for him in everything.
Genesis 3:1 says:
“Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made.”
Proverbs 2:2-3 says:
“So that you incline your ear to wisdom,
And apply your heart to understanding;
Yes, if you cry out for discernment,
And lift up your voice for understanding,”
Hebrews 5:12-14 says:
“For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food. For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe. But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.”
1 Peter 5:8-9 says:
“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.”
