Great short talk explanation on the importance of tradition, religion, and God.
God is the standard in which everything moral is measured against.
A standard we can never achieve by His design.
That keeps us looking up when the world around us is going crazy while at the same time looking around us when someone tries to distort what looking up looks like.
The Bible is designed to keep the people on the straight and narrow path while also keeping the rulers in check by the people, through Christ.
And you’ll see all through history and in current times when the people and/or rulers step out of alignment with the Bible, God’s Judgment is poured out on us.
None of this is fear based “do what you’re told or else!”
It’s the understanding that God wants us to enjoy all that He’s created for us. With that creation comes free will. But that comes with responsibilities and repercussions. With sin comes death.
When the people and/or the rulers are basking in their sins, we know what follows.
With the privilege of free will, Christ could not have come down in force to save us. He came to show us the way, through Him alone.
As per my post earlier today. My job is not to convince you of anything, but to warn you of what’s coming.
We’re coming to a time in which we are going to face God’s judgement. It might be another “labour pain” as we’ve seen over and over throughout history, or it might be the final one. We don’t know the day or the hour, but that time is at hand to get right with God.
