The pagan gods are making a comeback
The pagan gods are making a comeback because people like the idea that gods do what humans request.
Imagine, thinking a supreme being is there to serve you like a genie in a bottle.
This is because people don’t like being told they have an evil nature within them called sin. How could a loving God say such a bad thing about us?
But really, how can we look at the world today and not see it?
Simple. We compare ourselves to someone more sinful and say “See, I’m not evil, that’s evil”.
That’s one of the reasons why God came to us as man, Jesus Christ. So that we would stop comparing our righteousness to others’ downfalls and think we’re so good. We’re able to see the example of what sinless and being holy looks like, and then realize that we’re all in the same playing field.
We’re all sinners who fall short of the glory of God. No one can do good works and boast they are closer to God or better than the other.
Our hearts are deceitful, can be wicked in nature, and we’re capable of doing evil things.
But again, people don’t like a God that sets a benchmark and says Here’s where you fall short”.
They want gods that ask “What does your heart desire, we have a god to serve you in that”.

Why does the world hate the concept of sin?
Why does the world hate the concept of sin?
They say it’s because it’s a religious construct in order to control people.
In reality, it’s looking at our deepest, darkest, and ugliest flaws and desires and knowing we have no hope of defeating them. Every single human is tempted by their sin.
Sin starts as a tiny seed, and yet is so powerful that it not only brings death and destruction in our earthly realm but also to our eternity in the spiritual realm.
It’s such an all-encompassing disease that progresses through the life of all mankind it took a loving God with immense grace to come to us as a man, show us the example of what it’s like to be sinless, and then save us from our own sin.
What could Jesus have done with our technology
Some days I think man, what could Jesus have done with our technology and understanding of people today? Think of the impact He could have had. His voice could have been heard across the world all at once. Why wait thousands of years for it to get to only 90% of the...
