The prosperity gospel is evil, but there is another “gospel” that is more dangerous

The prosperity gospel is evil.
Everyone sees it for what it is.
Rich cult leaders take advantage of people seeking hope.
Today many look like huge churches that are money-making machines.
The secular world sees them for who they are, as do many Christians.
But they’re just a distraction.
While they do not represent the true Jesus, they’re not as much of a threat to His church as THIS other false gospel.
This false gospel holds a much bigger threat.
Its message is one that threatens to take down His church one person at a time with great precision.
It’s called the “Feel Good” gospel.
Its mantra is “if it feels good, it must be true” and “God wants you to be happy, so if it makes you happy, God is ok with it”.
Scripture is twisted and doctrine is ignored based on what one feels like at the time.
Let’s be clear, I’m not innocent in this either.
But that’s why we have to have sound doctrine. That’s why we need to follow good teachers and call out false teachers when we see them.
We need to not be afraid to put on the brakes and question what’s being taught.
We must have discernment when it comes to our beliefs. Otherwise, our beliefs have no foundation, they change based on how we feel at the time.
That doesn’t mean that your faith in the Bible isn’t allowed to feel good or come with other emotions.
It’s just not wise to build the foundation of your faith on emotions, but put on the whole armor of God.
Ephesians 6 10:20
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints and for me, that utterance may be given to me that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
