The stabbing in Vancouver was horrible.

But as some people pointed out, what’s up with the dude who just stood there and filmed it?

How many movies and games made entertainment out of extreme violence?

Now when we see violence, how many people do nothing but whip out their phone and record it like it’s entertainment?

Until people understand the reality of Sin, What Jesus did for us, and offer them the grace to repent, this only gets worse.

And that’s not some theory, it’s happened many times in history as God allows idolatrous people to suffer from their own doings to show them there is only one way.

The only reason why people don’t take their sins seriously is that it means they stop serving themselves and need to serve a different Lord.

Because the secular world started calling the bible a fairytale and sin not real, Christians stopped using the word.

If we want to really want to share the gospel, make disciples of the nations, and fix this world, start talking about sin again. Just in casual conversation. When you see it, call it out for what it is. Make sin a natural part of your language. Not with hate or disgust, just as a matter of fact, that’s what it is, and there is a cure.
