This one event is the very reason why the world thinks Christianity is fake, pathetic, and full of hypocrites.
But what does the world see?
If you’re a non-believer, you’re going to agree with me on this post.
So let’s go back a few days to these Twitter posts.
Sam Smith and others put on a great satanic worship set at the Grammys. The pop culture watched and thought very little about it, like it was all cool and normal.
The mainstream media outlet CBS was all in, ready to worship their god.
Ok, so, as a non-believer you might be like “it’s all just theatrics”. You’re free to have that opinion.
But as Christians, this is real. There should be no question about how evil, wrong, and dishonouring to God this is. We believe in the divinity and authority of Jesus Christ and the evil one who is the god of this world. We’re told to be in the world, but not of the world. We know, or at least we should know that hell is a real place and that our job is to warn people so they don’t have to go there.
Every single Christian should be denouncing this for what it is, and many are.
Maverick City Music and Kirk Franklin who are some of the top “Christian” musicians in pop culture had no problems performing side by side with the satanic worship set.
In fact, Maverick City Music was one of the top celebrated “Gospel” bands of the night, but when you take a look at them online, I’m not sure I’d call them gospel.
Other top “Christian” artists known in just about every Christian’s mouth are TobyMac, Elevation Worship, Chris Tomlin, Bethel Music were all involved in the show on some level.
And not one of them has spoken out against the blatant satanic worship that I can find at the time of posting this.
Again, perhaps you or they believe this is just a “night of the arts” and not about preaching beliefs.
But when you take on Christ’s name, and do so in front of the world as someone who is the influence of those in the faith, and you not only don’t denounce it, but ignore the conversation all together, you’ve done one thing.
You proved the world right.
Christians are just a bunch of cowards and hypocrites and are strong in their beliefs when it’s easy and convenient, and they can make money off the name of Christ.
But when their money, their career, and their comfort is on the line, they will bow down to the god of this world.
But that’s ok. Christians who see what’s going on in the world should not be concerned. The Bible has clearly told us not to worship these false idols. The Bible has clearly told us there would be hypocrites among us that would deny Jesus when it mattered the most. The Bible told us there would be a great apostasy in the last days before Christ returns.
The world is the world. The Grammy’s might surprise some of us, but it shouldn’t.
We should speak out and denounce the world for its satanic ways and show them these is a better way.
But more importantly, we should make sure we let these artists and public Christian figures know, we’re watching you. We see you. We see your weakness. And we’re praying for your conviction. We have grace for your imperfection.
God gifted you with talent and a position that the world sees. I know without a shadow of a doubt it wasn’t to get rich and comfortable off the beast system that Satan controls.
It was to be a light in the darkness, not a coward in a satanic ritual.
Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them. Ephesians 5:11
