United Church of Canada issues prayer for suicide, not against it.

Looking for my Christian friends to offer an opinion.
United Church of Canada issues a prayer for those who wish to take their own lives. It asks for loved ones to accept suicide as an act of love as Jesus would offer those suffering.
I’ve read the stories where Jesus healed the sick and revived the dead, but I don’t recall Him ever assisting anyone to die that just couldn’t bare the pain anymore.
I’m afraid this move seems to be in alignment with the same moves the churches in Germany made when they assisted the Nazi party.
Also, why do they address dying as “the great unknown” and not knowing what happens after death?
Clearly, the United Church of Canada, or at least David Sparks who speaks on their behalf no longer believes in who Jesus is.
And yes, I got this right from their website. So it is fact-checked.
