Victim, Villain, or Victor? Israel’s Choice and the Christian Response

If your answer is that any narrative against Israel is a lie from Palestine, you have failed at critical thinking.
If your answer is that any narrative against Palestine is a lie from Israel, you have failed at critical thinking.
And, it’s not your fault. Brainwashing propaganda is a powerful thing, and the propaganda around what is going on has been going on for a very long time, far beyond your life.
And, very few people want to be on the outside of society. Very few people wish to suffer the discomfort of speaking against an evil that everyone says is good.
I don’t speak out against Israel because I think Hamas is good. I speak against Israel because they’re the ones smearing the name of God, committing genocide and calling on the Christians to support them.
Hamas is evil. Full stop. I won’t argue that. And, they’re not calling for full support in the name of Christ.
As a Christian, someone who understands the power of sin, who received Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour who took payment for our sin, should understand the clear and unwavering stance we’re supposed to have on sin. And, we can see the sin of man all over this conflict from all sides.
While there are many perspectives on the last days, the end times, the things that must come to pass, we were never told to take a side in the wars and rumors of wars. We were never told to take a side with sin.
We were told to fear not. We were told to make disciples of the nations. We were told to mourn for every lost soul. We were told to have compassion on the lost. We were told that whatever we do to the least of man, we do to Jesus.
And if you are cheering on the mighty hand on Israel against Hamas, you are neglecting to see the innocent people in the Gaza Strip. You are failing to see the image bearers of God in His creation. You are failing to see the lost souls that Jesus cries for.
And you are failing to see the Christians who live their doing God’s work, discipling the nations, right in the heart of this wiping out of a nation.
None are justified, and all will be judged.
The path from victim can lead to villain or victor, and the line between the two is very thin. The Jewish people were made a great victim.
And now the state of Israel in its growth and might, as shown over and over again in the scriptures of the bible, has a choice. Will it be as victor over sin, or become a villian.
Will they choose the one and only God of the Bible, or do they once again deny Him and His ways?
I think we would be completely blind to not see, they deny the God of the bible. How is it we who believe we serve the one true God, and stand and support a people who were chosen by God, and deny His Kingdom?
This happened with Jesus, and He invited in all people to be with Him, a part of His promise who choose to be spiritual Jews, not Jews by blood. We became a part of the seed of Abraham. No, we did not replace the Jewish people, we go adopted in so that we could be the light of Christ.
And to the world right now, we are hated and becoming persecuted. Because we’re like Christ? No, because the image we’re mostly bearing is that of the star of Remphan.
The only image or symbol that we should bear is the cross. Not cross + USA flag. Not Cross + LGBTQ flag. Not Cross + Swastika. And certainly not the Cross + the star of Israel. It is an abomination to God to put Him beside any other idols, despite how true and right you think they are. God will not have it.
